If you love Anime Vanguards and are on the hunt for the top units, then you know turning Mythic Song Jinwu into the strong Song Jinwu and Igros is a big deal. What do you need? The Elixir of Life. But here’s the thing—it’s super hard to get. Ready to face the tough work? Let’s dig into what you must do to get this key item.
The Journey to the Elixir of Life
Before you go for the Elixir, be sure to open all Legend Stages. That’s the first thing. Once you do that, you need the Red Key. This key starts the whole quest. You can get the key in two ways: it can drop in a game (but that’s rare, just a 10% chance), or you can buy it in the Dungeon Shop for 2000 Monarch Tokens. If you’re not lucky, your best choice is to get Monarch Tokens. Each time you do well on Ant Island, you can get about 50, but that can change with how hard the game is.
The Brutal Red Key Questline
So, you’ve got the Red Key. Now the hard part starts. It has four tough steps, each one will test your calm and hard work:
First, you need to beat the Ant King 50 times. Yes, 50. That means going into the Ant Island Dungeon many times, over and over. It will take a lot of time but you can do it if you have a good team.
Next, you need to give up 30 Mythic (or better) units. This one hurts, more so if you like your rare units a lot. Be sure to choose units you don’t use much, because once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
The third task asks you to call up 5000 Shadows using the power of Jinwu’s Arise. If you are thinking how long it might take, get set—it’s a long haul. Jinwu can call up between 16 and 25 Shadows each time. Work it out, and you’ll see this task alone will need many hours of play.
At last, the final step is the biggest give: you must let go of a grown-up Igros (Elite Knight). To do this, go to your stuff, hit the Red Key, hit “Sacrifice,” pick Igros, and say yes. Just like that, your quest ends, and you’ll at last get the great Elixir of Life.
A True Test of Endurance
There’s no way to avoid it—getting the Elixir of Life takes a lot of time. Those who make the game say it needs about 28 hours of play non-stop. You can’t do it all in one day. But the prize? You can change Song Jinwu into his top Vanguard form, and he becomes super strong in the game.
