Hunters just dropped its biggest update yet, and trust me, you’ll want to clear your schedule for this one. Update 0.5 brings a ton of new features—from a full-on PvP mode to insane new loot tiers that push your build to its limits. Whether you’re a long-time grinder or just getting your boots muddy, there’s something here for you.
Let’s start with the big one: PvP is finally here
You can now throw hands with other players in an arena-style setup, complete with a brand-new map made specifically for the mode. Each match kicks off with both players having three lives. First to lose all three? Game over. It’s casual for now—no rewards, no pressure—but it’s the perfect space to test your builds and just mess around. And yeah, it’s still in its early stages, so expect some balancing quirks. Think of it as a public playtest. Bonus: you can even queue across servers, including private ones. No more awkward waiting around in empty lobbies.
Inventory got a serious glow-up
The UI has been totally reworked. It’s cleaner, faster, and finally doesn’t make you rage-scroll through 50 pieces of gear. This alone is a game-changer if you’ve been hoarding like I have (guilty).
Vanity gets a stat boost
There’s a fresh new Vanity Index system that lets you preview your vanity sets and see what buffs they come with. No more guessing if your outfit actually does anything besides look cool.
Loot chasers, you’re eating good
Two new top-tier rarities just landed: Peak Mythical and Peak Legendary. These are now the best-of-the-best drops in the game, but they don’t come easy. You’ll have to unlock a special Scroll hidden in the Spider Caverns (on Nightmare mode, of course). Once that’s done, you’re in business.
And yes—there’s gear to match
The Arachnid Slayer Set has arrived, complete with full armor and a weapon skin for every class. And if you love flashy skills, each weapon type now has its own Peak Legendary ability. We’re talking fireballs raining from the sky (Ignis Fall), blink-and-you-miss-it dagger bursts (Mutilate), and a Greatsword slam that straight-up launches enemies into the air (Skyfall Slam). It’s wild.
Three brand-new Peak Mythical sets also join the mix:
- Spectral Set
- Seraph Set
- Astral Weave Set
But again—you’ll need that Spider Caverns scroll before any of these will drop.
Quality-of-life improvements? Oh yeah, there’s a bunch
The devs fixed some annoying inventory bugs on console, added auto-equip options, let you lock your favorite gear, and even gave us the ability to sell all our junk in one go. There are also new ways to hide visual effects, armor, and even your hair if that’s your thing. Oh, and custom stances for weapons? Yep, those are in too.
Also worth noting—they finally touched up the Ant King visuals. No more weird clipping or awkward animations.
So yeah, this update’s a big deal. Between the new PvP, loot, and UI upgrades, Hunters is leveling up in all the right ways. If you’re someone who’s been waiting for an excuse to jump back in—or dive in for the first time—Update 0.5 might just be it.
