Update 17 is officially live—and it’s taking us straight to Rock Bottom!
SpongeBob Tower Defense just got a whole lot deeper (literally) with the launch of an all-new story world: Rock Bottom. If you’ve already conquered Chapter 10 in Sandy’s Treedome, this next adventure is unlocked and waiting for you.
You’ll fight through 10 brand-new chapters and face off in 2 Endless Modes, testing your skills across three difficulty levels. And trust me—Nightmare difficulty lives up to the name. Finish it all, and you’ll earn big-time rewards.
But the real draw? Four fresh Gem Summon units are here:
- Bert (Mythic): Drops poison damage and slows enemies—a game-changer.
- Tiff (Mythic): Mysterious but mighty.
- Jojo (Legendary) and Sand Creature (Epic) also join the squad.
Grind through Rock Bottom and you might unlock the exclusive Legendary Glove World SpongeBob—a unit you can’t get anywhere else, with potential rare variants!
Also, if you’re up for a true test, this weekend only brings the Glove Balloon Mount Challenge. Complete all Rock Bottom chapters on Nightmare by Monday, April 28 at 11:59 PM CT, and the limited mount is yours.
Other quality-of-life perks:
- New trading features: Search players by username and request trades on the map.
- Unit Storage trading & gifting is now live (up to 1200 total space).
- Slick new UI upgrades: effect type chart, polished queue screens, and updated Unit Manager for faster prioritization.
Bonus: Dry/Cold conditions in Treedome are gone… for now.
